Cheryl & Allan

I met Cheryl and Allan through a friend.. and I have to admit, this couple has a great sense of humor! We had an engagement session in the spring.. and I think I captured more of Allan's silly face than anything else :-) As you can see by the cake topper- they were out to have a great time at Villa Bianca. And boy, did they rock the house (or rather, the outside!)

Kate and Evan

The weather was perfect... bright skies, warm (yet not too warm) temperature, with a light breeze. Ahhh... summer has arrived!

I ventured out with Kate and Evan to the infamous Elizabeth Park (quite the popular spot for engagement sessions) to take advantage of the beautiful weather. In this post I'd like to dedicate it to the different styles a photographer can use to portray a picture... thus, you get a different "feel" for a photo, depending upon how the photo is taken (composition) and then edited.

Here are a few pics from our day- the first shot is a bodies shot, the middle photos show how the photo looks in color vs. black and white, and then the last one is an "in the moment" photo. Do you have a preference?

I love weddings!

I love the fact that each wedding is truly so different that when you shoot on location, you scan the environment looking for a spot for pictures.

I loved the fact that at the Tunxis Plantation CC we had access to a gorgeous oak tree with beautiful waters behind.... but what was even better (in my opinion) was the old shed we found next to the waters. Man... I love a good contrast ANYDAY. :-)

Sometimes it's better to look beyond the obvious for photos.
Sometimes you just get a feeling of what would work.

Just a few samples of their day to share... I got the pleasure to spend just a short time with them.

Oh! And while editing... for some reason these photos were screaming- "Go antique! Go antique!" So I did.
