Aliza & Harry

The weather called for scattered rainstorms.
OK, I admit, I check the weather for a wedding weekend a week before.
Then, I don't check it again until that very day.

I remember looking up at the sky thinking- "ok, just hold off.. hold off".
Well, it downpoured for quite some time as Aliza was getting ready.
It rained as we were headed for her house.

Then the sun came out.
YEAH! It cooled temperature and it turned out to be the perfect weather :-)

Aliza and Harry had their ceremony and reception at the beautifully-decorated Riverview (the inside is gorgeous!). The atmosphere was elegant, the food was superb, and the photobooth was a huge success! This group was up on the dance floor the entire evening!!

As soon as I saw Aliza's dress.. I thought.. RING SHOT!
This shot has a bit of meaning. Harry failed to mention "Trust" as a part of the ceremony (what he promises to do!) And yet, in the next shot.. she still placed the ring on his finger! ;-)

Calmness.
I love, love, love how Harry looked at Aliza with such admiration during their first dance :-)

PS. I have to thank Jake for helping out this weekend.
(There is a hidden message in this paragraph Jake, can you tell what it says?)

I enjoy BRINGing another shooter to cover the different angles for a bride and groom.
We had an EXTRAordinary weekend filled with lots of aches and pains and laughs.
The KEY to photographing an event is to bring along someone you can trust and who suits your photography style well.
Thank you Jake for your ideas and help!

Julie & Josh

I have been a little MIA these past few days-- wedding season is in FULL force!

Julie and Josh were married on July 26th- the weather was just perfect (despite the flip-flop in rain these past few weeks!) It's always so interesting to find out little facts about the couple- for instance, Julie went to the same college as I did (many moons ago :-), and I have to admit-- this crowd knew how to get down!!!

Here is a sneak preview to their photos- enjoy!

Doesn't Julie look stunning? She has striking facial features ;-)

I wanted to post this photo because all I did was place the camera on the floor and snapped the picture.
This photo was not staged. I love how they walked out of the church and simply looked at one another.
This was posed after we had a few minutes in the church- had to get a kissing shot!
I have many of Josh smiling during their first dance :-)
They knew how to party!

Michele & Brian

I'm so happy that the weekend weather finally called for sun!! :-)

Michele & Brian wed at Sacred Heart Church in New Britain, followed by a very traditional Polish reception in New Britain as well. We made a quick stop at Elizabeth Park for photos in between the ceremony and reception.

Can I just say I saw the light on this one? Literally. I love me a good siolette :-)

But honestly, Michele has such a natural pose and beauty that she naturally fell into this position (below).. I just simply told her to hold that pose! Thanks Michele!

I saw some beautiful lighting again where Michele was exiting her home... I just couldn't resist!
Then Brian insisted we take a few fun group shots... here they are! Brian, great call! I love a wedding party that would do just about anything for a shot ;-)

PS. I love the guy that is just standing there. Great pose!

Aren't they gorgeous? Michele's veil was beautiful in the wind...I have to thank Jake Bergmeier for giving me a new perspective at this park. I've photographed here a dozen times... and it was so great that he saw the park in a whole new way. Jake, thank you!

Kids say the darndest things... I love it! This note was written to Michele by her first graders...

Huge thank you to Christa Bosco for helping at this event! Seriously, for being a Nikon chick, you rule! :-)

Alison & John

I had the honor to photograph my sister-in-law's good friend, Alison and her (now) husband John. Both Alison and John are just the sweetest couple. Jake and I had alot of fun with this crew, and for me it was just so much more special knowing we were capturing memories for them :-) Here is a sneak preview to their photos.... I admit there were so many of them, but I just selected a few....

Her dress was simply stunning! I love the power of natural lighting....

It's so great to be able to capture a moment like this...

I love this picture because it was the Luttati women, including Alison's mom :-)

Isn't Alison cute?

And the ladies celebrated in style!

This blog wouldn't be complete without a Morgan picture :-)
